I Finally Got a Custom Poker Chip Set!

Back when I first started playing poker I didn’t really take my supplies too seriously. My friends and I used a pretty beat up deck of cards that were from the gift shop at Busch Gardens, and someone always ended up bringing these cheap plastic poker chips. As a table, we brought in the patio table from the backyard, umbrella and all! Yeah, those were the good old days.

Now that I’m an adult, with more refined sensibilities, I’ve really worked hard to improve my poker table supplies. The first thing I did was get an actual poker table. Then I worked on the game room décor, and finally, I treated myself to a custom poker chip set. I think it really shows off my maturity as a poker player. I got a gorgeous wooden case that can hold a 500 count of chips. I wanted to get a wooden case because I feel like it’s more of a keepsake than an aluminum and it looks great on the mantel in my game room. I also decided to go with Paulson chips since they had the most professional look to them. All in all, when I take a look around my game room and see my pretty little custom poker chip set sitting on my mantel, it’s funny to think how far I’ve come since the old patio poker table days.
